Steve Yacovone

Steve Yacovone is the newly appointed Trustee for Boardman Township.

Steve is currently an Assistant County Prosecutor in Columbiana County handling a variety of cases including homicides, drug related offenses, and offenses against women and children. He graduated from the University of Akron School of Law in 2016 with honors. Steve began his legal career with the Mahoning County Prosecutor’s Office. Steve has successfully prosecuted a number of high-profile cases in both Columbiana and Mahoning Counties.

He resides in Boardman with his wife Katelyn (Hughes), two children, Gracie (4) and Steven (1) and their dog Stella.

He has been active in the Boardman Community serving on the Boardman Park Board before being appointed Trustee in March of 2025. He also served on the Board of Directors for Alta Care Group from 2021 to 2025.
