Above-Ground Storage Tanks
Above-ground storage tanks within the limits of Boardman Township are allowed only in areas zoned as industrial.
An above-ground storage tank is any tank that is above ground and serves as a storage tank for petroleum, hazardous waste or other hazardous material.
A permit must be obtained through the Fire Department for any of the following reasons: to install, remove, abandon, alter or place out of service any above-ground tanks.
In addition, before a permit can be issued, a plan of the tank and intended use must be submitted for approval by our fire inspectors.
If you have any questions or concerns, please contact the Fire Prevention Bureau at 330-729-9535.
